Papelito
It's not just paper, it's Papelito
Picture this: You, relaxing in paradise—sun, sea, nature—and suddenly, a sea of cigarette butts. The ultimate buzzkill. These “harmless” tips pollute soil, rivers, and oceans. According to researchers, a single butt can turn 70 liters of seawater into a toxic cocktail.
Through our Green February project, we collected 13,347 butts across Brazilian beaches and events. That’s 5,539 kg of waste that went to recycling instead of ending up in the ecosystem. The revolution of minimum effort: Use a portable ashtray or any closed container until you find a trash can. The planet is our home; let’s stop pretending butts disappear on their own.
